The basic spin is that most ringtones are marketed toward teens, and that the new fluffertrax/BowChica tones are for adults. While this does explain the preponderance of ringtones by fluffy pop stars and the dearth of tunes by actual songwriters, I'm as aware as anyone that teens are probably the most interested in having these tones.
