The Blind reader-“Bridge” looks like a cross between the original iPod Shuffle and an old-fashioned vinyl record cleaner. It serves a more serious purpose than maintaining original copes of Yummy Yummy Yummy, however, translating text on the fly into braille, freeing sight-impaired readers from the small library of officially published titles.
It's not clear if it actually uses optical character recognition to produce translation in the Braille alphabet, or simply presents the scan using Braille dots. The description suggests the latter, but I'll assume the former, as material thus scanned can also saved into memory, so the reader can return to it later, or print out a complete document for future reading.
The reader also acts as a general digital braille reader, meaning you can feed it text from any source, such as the internet or existing text files, for the user to read.
