Just in time for lunch, we have a first glimpse of the poster for Hostel: Part II, the sequel to Eli Roth's ultra-gross, Eastern European torturefest that single-handedly revived the gore genre (much to my delight). I'd say this image pretty much cuts to the heart of the matter . . . heh heh heh. Sorry, just had to say it. No word yet on exactly what part of which sort of animal this might be, but it looks an awful lot like the fatty, muscled outside of a heart or other major organ. Could be just a chunk of muscle, though. Any anatomy geeks out there care to take a, um, stab at guessing what this is?
Like the first Hostel, the sequel will show us what happens when the lives of some nubile students are cut short by grisly discoveries at a Slovakian hostel. If this poster is any indication, I think we're in for some pretty excellent guts.
In the meantime, you can get your Eli Roth fix by watching his early, animated over-the-top comedy The Rotten Fruit – it's sort of like an MTV version of Meet the Feebles with fucked-up singing fruit instead of fucked-up muppets.
