Much as I adore the timeless metallic finish of my MacBookPro, I sometimes tempt myself with wild colors and beautiful designs to brighten the colorless class of Apple's top-end notebook. Well, a fellow by the name of Rogotoko decided he wanted that high-end Sony carbon fiber look.

Alas, such substances don't come in paint buckets or spray cans. What do do? Decals! Inordinately convincing decals, applied with unimaginable care and attention.

I thought long and hard about ways to change the appearance of my Core 2 Duo Black Macbook. ... I was at the automotive store looking for something completely different for my car (which cost less than my Mac) and I came across this stuff called "Carbon Graphix". If you aren't familiar with it, it's a vinyl sticker material that looks like real carbon fiber and it is quite durable.

Best of all, when it gets boring or messed up, it peels right off. Warrantee intact.

Quit bitching about your Macbook's color and do something about it. [christianemail.blogspot.com via Mobile Mag]
