Word on the blagowebs is that postproduction has at last finished on Rise, a vampire movie with Lucy Liu as an anti-vampire vampire (like Blade or Angel or that Canadian guy from Forever Knight). She plays a journalist who gets bitten by some vamps, turns into a bloodsucker, and goes on a rampage trying to destroy the toothy creatures who unkilled her. I will watch any vampire movie, including Bloodrayne, but I have my standards. I predict that this one's going to be a gooder – maybe even as awesome as Mexican horror master Guillermo Del Toro's Blade II. Look out for Rise, which will be in theaters sometime next year.
