Let's take a moment this holiday season to celebrate Brian Froud, a great fantasy artist whose work has been making goths and Legolas shippers swoon for three decades. This guy is the master of faerie art, the geek equivalent of glam fashion. Froud is the painter behind the 70s bestselling art book Faeries, and the designer of the imaginative creatures in Jim Henson's Dark Crystal. Holy shit, I love that movie. And the book Faeries is the one of the main things that helped me survive elementary school.
