The BBC has an instant musical mashup generator called the Radiophonatron, a sort of Flash game that allows you to play and sample bits of all the electro-zany Doctor Who themes over the years. The best part, aside from just punching the buttons repeatedly, are the silly-but-appropros names that the BBC folks have given to each sound chunk. Most Gallifreyans will know immediately what the "wee wah woo" sound is, though they may have forgotten the "mouse organ" theme (it does sound remarkably like a mouse organ). Then there's the "oo-ee-oo" theme, as well as the "zapper!" noise, the "weirdly happy" music, the "twangle," the "bibble," the "neow," the "stab," the "party popper" and the ever-important "Scottish hamster" theme. Stick in your earbuds and spend the afternoon zoning out to the sweet sounds of "wee wah woo" and "diddly dum."
