Our culturally nutritious brother blog Table of Malcontents came across a report of archeologists digging up a 4,800-year-old woman's body, complete with a fake eye apparently made of tar and animal fat. (Sounds attractive!)
I'm curious about how this woman kept the artificial eye in her socket. Any ideas? And along those lines, how do people keep artificial eyes in their sockets nowadays? Do they just fit in there nicely?
