IUD Fails; Doctor Pays Child Support

Our sister blog, Sex Drive Daily, laments a bizarre ruling in Germany that ordered a doctor to paychildsupport for an unwanted baby because he botched a contraceptive implant (I'm assuming it was an IUD).

Regina Lynn points out one of the many reasons this decision is difficult to fathom:

What outrages me even more is that the doctor has to pay thebiological father, too -- the article is vague on that point and I amhoping fervently that the guy is not off the hook completely. Accidentor not, that's his offspring, and his responsibility.

Not to mentioin that kid's probably feeling like a hundred bucks right about now.
