Hardly a new idea, the articles on the "New Atheism" ignore key historical facts.
How about those atheists Hitler, Stalin and Chairman Mao? They also thought they were on the cusp of a new societal order.
With no God there is no morality or accountability and so anything can be "justified", like... killing millions of people!!
Going back to around 70 A.D., atheism was a "new idea" in Rome as well.
The Apostle Paul wrote a letter of advice to his Roman friends saying:
" For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. "Romans 1:20
How can we also ignore the brilliant minds at work today in the field of science and technology?
Newton and Einstein rocked the world with their contributions to science.
They both acknowledged God must have created the universe and this world.
Hard to imagine these guys flunking the "intelligence test"!
Those facist and communist (atheist) regimes oppressed thought and greatly limited personal freedoms that we take for granted.
It's scary that ideas like taking children away from parents are being floated at prestigous institutions.
