Because I've been an Apple obsessive since I was eight years old, I'm reading too much into the logo Apple's using for this holiday sale. I've included it here for you to argue about, but I spy, from left to right and top to bottom:

– An unfamiliar third party peripheraliPod hifi (thanks, guys!)
– A CD or DVD
– A Mac Pro
– An iPod nano
– Apple Bluetooth Keyboard
– Mac Pro again
– A Mighty Mouse

– Another Mighty Mouse
– An iPod shuffle
– Headphones
– Nike+iPod kit
– iPod
– Mac mini
What's missing, you might ask, if you're a maniac? Why, any portable Mac at all. No MacBook, no MacBook Pro. Now, you might point to graphic design choice as the explanation for this, but I see conspiracy. Especially given the color of the ad – it's all red and white. That could be rationalized as the color scheme of the holiday season but also happens to be the colors of (Product)RED. Is Apple about to covertly drop the rumored red MacBook and MacBook Pro? The new nanos and the MacBook Pro do have the same material finish...
