Cancer Society is quite pleased, according to a statement from
John Seffrin, the ACS CEO. But he wants them to stop selling them anywhere.

For years, R.J. Reynolds and other tobacco companies have tried to attract youth to smoking by camouflaging a cigarette's cancer-causing ingredients with names like Kauai Kolada, Twista Lime and Midnight Berry. The development and promotion of these products has involved egregious deception, yet it has gone unfettered because tobacco products remain an unregulated product in this country.

Some cancer stats after the jump.

"Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in this country for both men and women, and smoking causes nearly 90 percent of those deaths. Today, 1,500 people will die from cancer and 30 percent of those deaths will be the result of tobacco use. The American Cancer Society has educated generations of Americans and people around the globe about the deadly consequences of tobacco use. The Society has bolstered these efforts with support of tobacco-control policies that ensure everyone has the right to breathe smoke-free air, help smokers quit and fund lifesaving research to help prevent, detect and treat cancer."
