The 30GB, Wi-Fi-capable Microsoft Zune was spotted on sale on Walmart.com for $284 by a sharp-eyed engadget reader, before the site pulled the listing. This means most retailers will probably charge the expected $300, given that Wal-Mart regularly undercuts the competition.
Microsoft has yet to announce the official price and availability, and there's still no word on battery life or song/subscription pricing. But if Wal-Mart's web team deployed it on the site by mistake today, I'd imagine that the actual launch date can't be too far off – especially since there are only X number of shopping days until the holidays!
