Crazy rumors about Apple are a dime a dozen. When you're a company that prizes novelty so highly, secretive product introductions are par for the course, so your fan-base that also prizes novelty is going to try to figure everything out in advance. All of this is well-known.
What continues to amuse are the ways in which this fundamental need of Apple addicts gets expressed. Take this informative post from The Inquirer. In a report from Las Vegas, the tech publication's Eva Glass has the latest scoop: "Apple and Intel" something-something. OK, it's a little unclear. She writes:
What? A movie service that also includes a movie service to boot? I smell marketshare! You know, I can guarantee that Apple and Intel are presently working on something together – and I predict it will use microchips. That one's for free. I think this rumor's meant to be about an iPod successor? Or maybe an updated Pippin?
