The President spoke at the Renewable Fuels Association meeting yesterday, an appearance that would have been inconceivable in 2002. He asked Congress to extend the tax credit for all hybrid vehicles purchases this year.

If Congress agrees, which is highly likely in today's gas "climate," consumers looking to purchase Toyota vehicles later this year would get the same $3,150 tax credit that they now enjoy.
