Notebook manufacturer Averatec is throwing its hat in the UMPC ring with the AHI device. This truly pocketable unit features a 5-inch SXGA TFT display, which slides to reveal a built-in keyboard. The unit also boasts a 30GB hard drive, integrated Wi-Fi (802.11g) and USB 2.0, with options for 3G connectivity and GPS. Unlike other UMPCs, the AHI runs Windows XP Home SP2 and is powered by an Intel Celeron M processor. The AHI is expected to cost between $700 and $1000. No release date yet.
