Here's an awesome Flickr mashup. In fact, one of the best we've seen. It's called Bubblr, and it lets you create a comic strip using Flickr photos. It's built using Flash from the looks of it, but it's a very nice implementation that uses a minimal amount of controls.
The strips can be single panel comics or multiple panel stories. You start by searching for photos by entering a tag. Then, drag your selected photo onto the stage and add thought bubbles and speech bubbles. Write your own dialog and repeat. Once you're happy with your strip, you can publish it to the Bubblr archive, email it to a friend, or post a hard link on your del.icio.us page.
Bubblr was created by a group called Pim Pam and Pum, who are also the brains behind Memry and Phrasr. Their (his? her?) motto is "Creative Coding, Functional Design". Mission accomplished!
