Willie Nelson says "Yeehaw" -- DaimlerChrysler is now condoning biodiesel blends of up to 20 percent in its vehicles. Dodge Ram pickups for the 2007 model year will be the first trucks that the company will support for military, government and commercial fleets, with the intention of supporting the fuel for consumers soon.

"Biofuels represent a huge opportunity to reduce fuel consumption and our dependence on foreign oil," said Chrysler Group President and CEO Tom LaSorda in a prepared statement.

DCX is also developing "Bluetec" technologies that can burn diesel more cleanly and enable vehicles to pass the increasingly stringent emissions rules. The company is participating in establishing a national B20 specification.
