This week's sex drive ("Who's Getting Stiffed Here?") has inspired a flood of email.

This one's too good not to share:

Male crickets have some of the most varied genitalia found in nature - no two male crickets are built quite the same way. I'm not talking size, I'm talking function. Some have little lips around their penises, some have little fingers, some have vibrating penises etc. The female cricket has a load of choices when it comes to sex. So, I figured, why not copy crickets? Think of something that would be stimulating that I can't do during intercourse and find a toy that does that.

For whatever reason, guys get to come almost 100% of the time and few women get that kind of payoff from sex. So whenever it looks like what we're doing naturally isn't going to be enough for her, we bring out a toy from our bag and it's almost always enough to get her to climax.

For more cool sex tips from the animal kingdom, check out my friend Katherine's book, A Tiger in the Bedroom: Lessons from Mother Nature's Sex Shop.

Here's an example:

Practice safe sex.

The scarlet-bodied wasp moth performs “safe sex” by covering his mate with special fibers before mating with her. The fibers are toxic to the moth’s most common predator—spiders. So with their special covering, the moths can enjoy their sex without worrying about being eaten. In fact, knowing that they’re safe, the lovers take their dear sweet time over sex—like nine hours.

Remember that, the next time you think that using condoms will ruin the mood. Maybe you’re just not seeing the big picture.
