The 1,776-foot-high Freedom Tower will be constructed on the site of the destroyed World Trade Center, and is scheduled to be completed in 2009.

Designers of the building say "the world’s first urban wind farm" would be a series of wind turbines located 1,200 feet above the base of the building, and could generate 2.6 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually – 20 percent of the building’s anticipated energy needs.
