The future of videogaming is staring you in the face. EyeToy, the visionary PlayStation 2 accessory, lets you ditch your joypad and really leap into the action. The TV-mounted camera isn't just a gimmick: Some 4.5 million EyeToys have been sold worldwide, and developers are discovering new ways to use the device. Here's how to make a spectacle of yourself in games of various genres.

Extreme sports: In EyeToy: Antigrav a CG hoverboarder apes your movements to grind and trick through a hi-res futuristic cityscape. Lean left and right to maintain balance; jump and duck to avoid obstacles.

Team sports: Step up to the plate in MLB 2005. Take a headshot of yourself with EyeToy and map it onto your in-game avatar. Look out, Barry Bonds, here comes [your name here]!

Rhythm: As if the gameplay weren't frenetic enough already, Dance Dance Revolution Extreme mixes EyeToy with the dancepad. Now your hands and feet have to move to the beat.

Minigames: The Sega Superstars collection reworks classic brands into 2-D minigames that accept visual input. No need to memorize button combos for Virtua Fighter - just punch, kick, and dodge.

Simulation: The Sims hit the big city in Urbz. Snap yourself at the outset with EyeToy; as you gain hipster cred with various cliques, your image crops up on billboards, T-shirts, and posters.
