CAR
Seahorsepower
This cruiser would impress even James Bond. Made by Gibbs in the UK, the Aquada hits land speeds of up to 100 mph, thanks to its 175-horsepower V-6 engine. If your getaway takes you into the ocean, hit a button on the dash, and in six seconds the wheels fold underneath the three-seater's watertight body. A jet propulsion system keeps the Aquada going at 30 knots (that's 35 mph for you landlubbers). A foolproof mechanism prevents the car from transforming until it's afloat. Don't forget life jackets for anyone who isn't an MI-6 - AAA doesn't do deep-sea rescue.

CLOCK
It's Throwback Time
Before LEDs lit up electronics, Nixie tubes made alphanumerics glow. Now the minibulbs are making a comeback, like in the retro-chic Dodocus. The time is displayed in fiery orange-red neon as determined by a precision crystal oscillator. This vintage clock is rarely remanufactured, so snatch one up before time runs out.

DVD PLAYER
Miniplex
Clamshell personal video players, which can be as cumbersome and expensive as laptops, have never really caught on. Joytech's tablet-style DVD player, however, is compact and affordable. It has an expansive 7-inch LCD with a film-friendly aspect ratio (16:9), built-in speakers, an A/V output jack, and a battery that lasts for 2.5 hours. Watch Spidey shoot his web right in your lap - or use the kickstand on your desk, counter, or tray table.
