Segway inventor Dean Kamen attended the school, which became the first university to implement use of the revolutionary scooter. The university also uses the Segway on admissions tours.

Segway has released its newest model, the Segway Human Transporter p Series. The company says the new model is optimized for portability, compactness and maneuverability. The p Series, which costs $3,995, is the lightest model in the Segway line. It can travel up to 10 mph, covering six to 10 miles on one battery charge.
