PDA
Palm Boy Advance
The PDA meets the GBA - only better. The Zodiac is a Palm OS 5.2-driven device that does all the usual stuff handhelds do and runs games at twice the resolution of Game Boy Advance. Pop a title like Midway's SpyHunter into the SD slot (or download one from the Web) and play to your heart's content. The Zodiac, which packs a 200-MHz processor and an ATI graphics chip, is also Bluetooth-enabled, so multiplayer battles are possible, too. Just don't get caught yelling an untimely "Gotcha!" at the office.
Zodiac: $299, www.tapwave.com

TOY
In-Your-Face IM
Step up from your walkie-talkie with the Eye-Link. The spy toy features an arm-mounted keypad and an LCD monocle. Send messages up to 200 feet over a 433-MHz radio signal to your partner's scrolling, one-line display. An unlimited number of agents can join the convoy - as long as they have the gear. With nine channels to choose from, counterintelligence will have a hard time tapping into your party line.
Eye-Link: $30 per pair, www.wildplanet.com

Breaking news alerts, stock quotes, weather, and traffic appear as short text messages on the LCD. One-way IM capabilities allow for a quick "I love you" from your honey. Just don't get RSI from all that wrist flicking.

SOCCER BALL
Paintball
Once you've mastered FIFA 2004, take your soccer game outside with a Puma Paintura Pitch ball. The shoemaker commissioned artists from two international collectives to kick around 12 designs for a limited-edition run. This one's the work of illustrator David Folvari, whose tools of choice are a pencil and a Mac. Pick up his ghetto-fabulous ball before the competition does - only 150 of the polyurethane skins are available.
Paintura Pitch: $250, www.puma.com
