Dungeon masters, drop those 10-sided dice and pick up your Xbox controllers! Other developers have digitized Dungeons & Dragons, but none has given it mainstream appeal quite like Atari's Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes. "Even if you aren't a fan, you'll immediately enjoy the action aspects of the game," promises senior producer Constantine Hantzopolous. "If you're a purist, you'll revel in all of the detail." Indeed, the Gauntlet-style hack-and-slash has enough drama and double crosses to keep the most seasoned D&Der enthralled, while the realistic lighting and topflight level design unveil a beautiful labyrinth newbies won't mind getting lost in. The multiplayer option taps into the game's core communal experience - the whole gang cooperates to banish evil from the world, one monster at a time.
