It's been a decade since grad student Todd Paglia (left) extracted his own DNA and secretly made the first human clone. To elude the gene police, he took the boy, Alpha, into hiding in Asia. Last year, Paglia returned to Los Angeles and enrolled Alphie, now a fourth-grader, at Craig Venter Elementary School. The two posed last month on the youngster's 10th birthday. "My dad's the best," says Alphie. "When I grow up, I want to be just like him."
