On the streets of London, the only thing worse than being caught in the rain is getting stuck with a dry cell phone. Now mobilites with a dead battery can plug into Charge Me, a coin-operated kiosk that juices up to eleven phones and one palmtop at a time; a minute of charge time costs about 15 cents. Five units are currently in the field, and more are expected to appear in train stations, airports, and hotel lobbies throughout the year.
