Burger King Special The type of fighter jet being used to protect DC's airspace, according to an Air National Guard pilot, who used the term during a TV newscast. Inspired by Burger King's "Have it your way" campaign, it describes a plane carrying mission-specific weapons.

Viral Power Coined by cultural critics Arthur and Marilouise Kroker to describe an emerging kind of nomadic world power, one that's motivated by religious zealotry, advanced by an army of suicide commandos, and aimed at destablizing its enemies through continuous media coverage of its terrorist acts.

Tarpit Refers to a freeware program called LaBrea, which creates virtual computers on a network in order to lure worms before they spread to other machines. These traps respond to IPrequests in such a way as to keep the connection open forever, forming a "tarpit" in which worms like Code Red will get stuck.
