The Video Game Enhancer by Nuwave makes high-speed maneuvers and sweeping cinematography easier on the eyes by brightening up dark spots and sharpening edges through an integrated circuit technology. The VHS tape-sized accessory plugs into your TV, VCR, console, or disc player. Switches turn the enhancement feature on and off and allow you to change video modes from 32-/64-bit to 128-bit to accommodate any console or DVD player.
Obstacles such as moguls, rails, and ramps were more clearly defined in SSX, and in DVD mode, the VGE made it possible to see subway graffiti in the live-action film Tetsuo II: Body Hammer. But brighter isn't always better. The sparsely lit La Femme Nikita looked washed out - the candlelit first date was more like midday than midnight.
