The Gist: It's Time To Pump You Up
$79.99
Razor's wickedly cool Airgo pogo has the lines of a classic but is decidedly space-age in design and craftsmanship - it's made from aircraft-grade aluminum and sports an air pump in the shaft that adjusts for body weight and sets the resistance.
Razor suggests 15 to 25 pumps - I go for the max and take it outside for a test. I start to bounce, pulling up on the handles and bending my knees. I veer sharply to the right and end up flat on my ass after two or three hops. It's definitely not a skill that comes right back after years of nonuse. I adjust the air pressure, letting a little bit out so I don't bound quite as high. With more practice, I soon find I can stay on for 20 to 30 bounces at a time.
But, even though my coordination and balance quickly improve, it's a safe bet that I won't be challenging the Guinness world record - eight hours of nonstop pogoing.
