Sure, fins help you swim faster, but lugging them around is a hassle and shoving your feet into hard rubber pockets can be torture. Fab Force Fins address both of these issues.
Weighing a scant 1.5 pounds per pair, the fins are made of thin layers of a soft, rubbery polyurethane that provides a powerful snap. A V-shaped fin blade on each channels water behind you for greater thrust. The Lycra foot pockets are padded and adjustable, and attach with a series of Velcro straps. They feel like a cushy pair of sport sandals. (For bigger people or deeper water, Force Fin offers the 21-inch SK2.)
I took the fins for a paddle around the pier in Venice, California, and found them so comfortable that I forgot they were on - until I realized I was moving a lot faster.
