When it opens July 1, the $3 billion øresund Fixed Link (www.oresundskonsortiet.com) - spanning the 10 miles between Denmark's capital, Copenhagen, and the Swedish city of Malmö - will blur millennia-old national borders by creating a trans-Scandinavian twin city of some 3.5 million.
