King of the evening soaps Aaron Spelling is betting that enough viewers are lusting after the stuff they see in his shows to want to buy them online. This month, the Spelling-backed AsSeenIn.com site hard launches, allowing fans to purchase furniture, clothing, and other accessories from such Spelling shows as 90210, Melrose Place, and Charmed. The site may also offer merchandise seen on other TV shows and films.
Just how far into the closets and personal lives of Dylan, Kelly, and Amanda will the site go to make a sale? "We'll go as deep as the fans want us to go," says AsSeenIn president Sam Baldoni.
That shouldn't be too deep - these are Aaron Spelling shows, after all.
