THE WIRED INVESTMENT PORTFOLIO
I've been managing the WIP for exactly two years, and it's report-card time. Despite the handcuffing restriction of trading only once each month, the portfolio has generated total returns besting nearly all major indices. The numbers: the WIP, 86.2 percent; the S&P 500, 59.8 percent; the Dow, 48.0 percent; the Russell 2000, 18.5 percent. Only Nasdaq's blistering 87.7 percent return topped the WIP – by a hair.
With that track record, I'm going for broke. I'm selling nothing and investing in four potential scorchers: AdForce, CMGI, Juniper Networks, and RealNetworks.
