What will music distributors do when consumers get all their music off the Net? Plenty, they say, but don't hold your breath until then. Chris Oakes reports from New York.

NEW YORK -- How far off is widespread digital music retailing?

Don't hold your breath, say retailers.

"I think you're looking at a 10- to 15-year horizon," said Russ Pillar, president and CEO of the Virgin Entertainment Group.

Pillar made the comments Monday on a panel with fellow retailers and technology companies at the Jupiter Communications Plug.In conference.
