Let it not be said that Oracle Corp. (ORCL) chief Larry Ellison lacks a sense of humor, or fun, to match his fierce competitive spirit and sometimes over-the-top assessment of business rivals. After the filing of federal and state antitrust lawsuits against Microsoft (MSFT) on Monday, he excoriated the software superpower and its leader, Bill Gates, for portraying themselves as innovators victimized by a government doing the bidding of competitors.
Ellison, in fact, went so far as to compare Gates's argument to Nazi propaganda.
"For [Bill Gates] to say 'Please, please, please, just let Microsoft innovate,' is the most staggering lie I've heard since the 1930s in Germany," said Ellison.

Companywide screenings for the 29,431 in Ellison's employ will take place Thursday and Friday.
