For years, interactive television trials throughout the United States have either flopped completely or crawled along glacially. In rare instances, these projects have gained a tenuous foothold among early adopters. Generally, those that have failed stumbled over technologies that were either too far in the future or too expensive. In some cases, the services offered were not worth the price.
