Computers are, Like, Inescapable, Beavis

ads prove you shouldn't believe everything you learn on MTV.

Despite ubiquitous plugs on MTV saying that Beavis and Butt-head Do America was made using only old-fashioned animation techniques, there is one notable exception: Although the bizarre creatures in Beavis' hallucination sequence were hand-drawn by rock star Rob Zombie (of White Zombie), they were colored by computers.

Senior character designer Kaori Hamura also noted that this sequence was one of the most compelling portions of the film, but it was cut back to less than half its original length. "Some of the images that Rob created might have been too disturbing or offensive," Hamura said. The rest of the film, opening nationwide on Friday, was made using the same rough techniques featured in the series, conceived and designed in the US and animated in Korea.
