Micro Machines (by Lewis Galoob Toys) are the '90s version of Matchbox cars. The Micro Machines video game, by Codemasters (one of the best-known video game developers in England) was one of the best-selling unlicensed games for the Nintendo NES. Now Codemasters has gone "legal" as a Sega licensee by introducing a new version of the game for the Genesis.
Micro Machines's allure is its simple and precise control: you have an accelerator, a brake and the control pad for steering. As you race across breakfast tables, billiards slates, and desk tops, you must avoid hazards such as spilled orange juice, pool balls, and notebooks.
The Genesis version has few improvements over the NES version, but it doesn't matter. This one's a winner. - Andy Eddy
